I arrived in Seoul yesterday. The last time had been November of ’06. I’m staying at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel, right next to Coex, in Gangnam-Gu. We were in the same area the last time. We took a short nap after we got to the hotel, then went to the humongous underground Coex Mall for dinner and to walk around. We missed the North Seoul Tower the last time, so I’ll be sure to go there this time around. I read that we can take a cable car up to the Tower, which should be even more fun. I also want to go to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that separates North and South Korea. I’ve always wanted to visit there, but it’s so out of the way. But the experience should be worth it.
